Vol. 01 — Custom Rug Studio

The Soft
Architecture
of Aba.

A small studio designing one-of-one hand-tufted rugs in New Zealand wool, commissioned, never mass-produced. Conceived for collectors, architects, and patient interiors.

Start a Custom Rug
Manifesto

We believe a rug is the slowest object in a room. It should outlive trends, hold the weight of a family, and be made by the same pair of hands from first sketch to final knot.

One Studio

Every piece tufted in our Aba workshop, by same set of hands.

One Edition

Numbered. Never reproduced. Never mass-printed.

One Lifetime

Built for thirty years of bare feet and afternoon light.

In Their Words

"The piece arrived three weeks ago and clients keep asking where it's from. The weight, the carving, nothing on the market compares."

"I've sourced rugs from Morocco and India for fifteen years. Tuft & Thread is the first studio in West Africa I trust with a hero piece."

"Quiet, considered, and built to last a generation. The collaboration felt like working with a sculptor, not a vendor."
